The story begins with Eric our founder's personal experience with inadequate lighting in his closets.
When he is looking for clothes early in the morning, it's difficult to identify the pairs of black and navy blue jeans. If he turns on the room light, it is easy to wake up his wife. The frustration slowly escalated with the arrival of his baby, who would wake up almost every midnight.
He wanted to add some smart lights that are easy to use without breaking the budget. But he quickly found it impossible to find a satisfying solution to light up his closets.
Why?
1. Some lights are difficult to install. You need wall plugs and wiring that involves drilling holes in the wall and closet. Not to mention safety in fire hazards.
2. Most lights also need a switch. Fumbling around in the dark to turn on the light isn't easy.
3. They are also expensive. The lights and installation fees all added up. If you're moving, you'll have to start over again.
